Well I decided to get the "cards" for my "Besties" out of the way...so I went with another clock so both of their "cards" would be similar!  This one is for Di who I have known literally my whole life...Di loves antiques, rummaging through stuff at a garage sale and most things old...my "vintage" friend!!

Here is what I came up with this time...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
once again I used the Tim Holtz clock...clock face at the top right with game spinners as clock hands...
I covered the outside with gesso and then went over it with Tattered Angels "Cowboy" Glimmer Glaze for an antiqued look...
inside is a fire place with a tea light for the flame...
this is Magnolia's "Chimney with Snow" (sorry can't remember which collection)...

Pink Tilda Christmas!!

Good afternoon dear crafty friends...I guess evening to some!!!

I'm back with my second post of the day!!  You can scroll down for my Fresh Brewed Design post.

I'm trying really hard to get those special Christmas cards done...every spare moment that I have is spent in the craft room and let me tell you there are not enough hours in the day...lol!!!

I have been longing to work with this sweet Tilda from the new Magnolia "Waiting for Christmas" collection since I received them and I finally got to her!!  I have to say that right now she would probably be my favourite Magnolia stamp and that is hard to say as there are SO many sweet Tildas!!!

Okay so here is what I came up with...

please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
the pictures don't show the card base colour very well...it looks red but it is actually a deep rose colour...
the card base and matts are cut using Go Kreate dies...
I also ran pink lace down the one side with the ribbon but I think that I covered it up...lol!!!
this is "It's Cold Outside Tilda" from the new Magnolia collection...
I used my distress inks again...
added glitter to the swirls and her fur trim and pearls to the swirling "snow drifts"...
and again cause I just can't resist this cutie pie!!!!...
I mounted a chiffon ribbon and berry cluster on a wooden star that I distress inked and Frantaged then added pearls to the corners and a Whimsy die cut tag topped off with a glittery snowflake charm from The Ribbon Girl...
the poinsettias are cut from the Doo Hickey Club Kit #2...
I painted the darker ones and Frantaged the pale pink...
tags and one of the new crystal stick pins from The Ribbon Girl that I added a crystal Angel charm to (also from The Ribbon Girl)...
I tied crystal bead strings (also from The Ribbon Girl) to the two outside tags...
the inside using "Merry Christmas" from Magnolia (sorry can't remember which collection)...
more Maja paper, poinsettias, tags and ribbon...
the base REALLY is deep rose...lol!!...

Okay so that is it for me for today!!  Break from work is over...time to get BUSY!!

Fresh Brewed Designs-"Christmas" Challenge

Good Wednesday morning crafting friends!!

Today we begin a new challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge blog...it's SUPER easy and just in time for you all to work on that Christmas card list...yes it's "Christmas".  Well I actually did tell you that in my post title...lol!!

I decided to do up some Christmas tags using three digis from Fresh Brewed Designs November Christmas digi release!!  You can find them in the coffee/cake/food section.

Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I used three of the Christmas latte digis to make up tags to put on gift baskets that I have made up for holiday hostess gifts...
as the baskets contain coffee and goodies I thought that the latte tags were the PERFECT digis to use...
I coloured them with copics, cut them out and mounted them on standard tags...
added some rhinestones, Frantage, ribbon and tiny Christmas decorations...
this one is called "Latte Christmas tree tag"...
the sentiment stamp is Whimsy...
 this is "Candy Cane Latte"...
ornament stamp is also Whimsy...
this one is called "Santa Latte"...

Well those are my Christmas tags...now we would love for you to join us for our Christmas challenge!!  Hop on over to Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge blog and check out all my teamies projects then get busy and share you holiday cheer with us!!

All materials used were from my stash.

Until next time thank you for taking the time to stop by...your visits and comments are so very much appreciated!!

Good Sunday morning dear blogging friends!!

It's the midway point at Simply Magnolia for our "Layer It Up" challenge...it's Team Glamour's turn to show you what we came up with!!  Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons!!!

Last year I left my closest friends "cards" until the last...thinking that "Hey they're my besties so they'll understand if their projects are a little late"...well my two very best friends didn't get theirs until AFTER Christmas...LOL!!!  And YES they were very understanding!!

So this year I have actually finished one of their "cards" for this DT post!!

In my last house we had curved walls and lots of nooks and crannies...perfect for tucking in Christmas trees...I used to put up at least four trees!!  Our family tree was always the traditional Christmas colours but the other trees were decorated in themes/colours that I loved...this combo was always one of my favourites!!

Here is "It's Christmas Time"...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I used a Tim Holtz clock...layered on alcohol ink, gesso and Frantage...
 side view...
close up of the tags, chiffon and satin ribbons...
the "With Love" tag and two ornament tags are Whimsy stamps...
this is Little Cute Tilda from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection...
I have perched her on hellebore flowers...
Tilda with Trumpet...celebrating the "Joys of the Season" with a musical tribute...lol... is from the same collection...
she is mounted on a layer of batting which is covered with Flowersoft Polar White...
in the background (hard to see in this picture) are trees made with dies from the Magnolia Doohickey Club Kit #2 with liquid applique for snow...
the clock back is layered with gesso and glamour dust...
clock handle decorated with ribbon and hellebore flowers...
time piece is Tim Holtz layered with gesso and glamour dust...

Waiting for Santa!!

Good Monday evening again dear blogging friends...for my "Candy Winner Post" click HERE.

So I have been slowly plugging along with my Christmas card list!!

I have been working on this card for over two weeks...waiting for my new "Waiting for Christmas 2014" order to arrive!!  It finally came and I was able to finish off the inside of the card.  I thought that the Tilda Angel should be looking out the window...she seems to be waiting for Santa in my mind...the sweet little Santa from the new Magnolia collection was the only image that I wanted for this...lol!!

Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
the card is made using Crealies Create a Card #8 die...
I used Maja paper from the "A Gift for You" 6X6 paper pad...
my Tilda is "Angel of the Year"...sorry can't remember which collection...
she is looking out the Small Grand Madison window by Memory Box...
I put acetate between the windows and added Glamour Dust...
the side steps are decorated with tiny trees from QuicKutz Holly Jolly set...
the rocking horse is from the Magnolia Doohickey Club #2 set...
the stamps are Whimsy Vintage Holiday Gift Tags...
the poinsettia is made from the Magnolia Doohickey Club #2 set also...
I added a crystal snowflake pin, red chiffon ribbon, sparkly mesh and Martha Stewart fern branches...
the tree was cut from a QuicKutz die and then covered with fern branches, decorated with red berry beads, a snowflake and rhinestone...
the inside paper is from my stash...I thought it looked like a night sky...
I added snowflakes dusted with Glamour Dust...
the snowflake border is JoyCraft 6002/2021 dusted with Flower Soft Polar White...
I added rhinestones to the snowflake centers...
"Merry Christmas" is a QuicKutz stamp and cut out with Spellbinders Ribbon Banners...
and this is the sweet "Little Santa" from the new Magnolia "Waiting for Christmas 2014" collection...
the inside of the card finished off with another window frame...
the paper backing the window is also from the Maja "A Gift for You" 6X6 paper pad...

So that is my latest Christmas card!!
